วิธีใช้

States that only AFTER going through A does one first realize/achieve B. Emphasizes the turning-point nature of the experience.

「～て初めて」 = only after going through A does B happen for the first time. The clause after is usually 「～が分かる／～に気づく」 — something only understood after the experience.
Different from 「～てから」 (which just marks time sequence): 「て初めて」 emphasizes that BEFORE that, one had absolutely no idea.
Close to 「～てこそ」 (N1), but 「て初めて」 emphasizes the first MOMENT of realization, while 「てこそ」 emphasizes the value of A.
