วิธีใช้
States the result of a decision made by circumstances/an organization/someone else, or a logical conclusion; the form 「ことになっている」 refers only to a rule or custom.
- 「~ことになる」 states a decision/result NOT made by the subject's own will but by circumstances, an organization, or an agreement. Different from 「ことにする」 (deciding for oneself).
- Also used to draw a logical CONCLUSION: "so it turns out that...".
- The form 「~ことになっている」 expresses a predetermined RULE, schedule, or custom.
