How to use it
Takes a carefully considered basis as the foundation for deciding the next step. Business writing style.
- 「Nをふまえて」 = on the basis of having considered N. N is something already available and analyzed: 結果 (results), 現状 (current situation), 反省 (reflection), 意見 (opinions), 前例 (precedent).
- As a modifier, use 「をふまえた+N」: 「過去の経験をふまえた提案」 (a proposal based on past experience).
- Different from 「に基づいて」 (following a standard/rule exactly) in that 「をふまえて」 emphasizes having CONSIDERED something before acting.
