• 「～ないことはない」 = it's not that I can't…: 「その仕事、やれないことはない」 (I can still do that job).
• The sentence is usually followed by a condition or hedge: 「時間があれば、行けないことはない」.
• Very close to 「ないこともない」 (N2-161); 「ことはない」 leans toward affirming possibility, while 「こともない」 adds a nuance of reluctance.

ข้อควรจำ

• Double negation = a tentative affirmation.
• Don't confuse with 「Vることはない」 (there's no need to do).

ข้อผิดพลาดที่พบบ่อย

• ผิดこの機械(きかい)は便利(べんり)ないことはない。

  This machine isn't exactly inconvenient either.

  ถูกこの機械(きかい)は便利(べんり)でないことはない。

  A na-adjective must connect via 「で」: 「便利でないことはない」.

• ผิด行(い)けないことはないので、必(かなら)ず行(い)きます。

  It's not that I can't go, so I will definitely go.

  ถูก行(い)けないことはないが、あまり気(き)は進(すす)まない。

  This pattern is always hedging — it is not used to state something definitively.

• 「ないことはない」 = it's still possible (hedging); different from 「Vることはない」.
