How to use it
Expresses two changes happening in parallel and gradually: as the degree of A increases/decreases, B changes correspondingly.
- 「~につれて」 connects two GRADUAL, parallel changes: as far as A changes, B changes along with it. Both clauses are gradual processes, not one-time events.
- The preceding clause is usually a verb/noun expressing change (増える, 進む, 成長, 時間がたつ).
- Close in meaning to 「~にしたがって」 (the change meaning); 「につれて」 leans toward NATURAL, unintentional change.
