How to use it
Connects two contrasting clauses.
- The が here is a CONJUNCTION ("but"), completely different from the subject-marking が. Tell them apart by position: the conjunction が sits between two clauses.
- でも also means "but" but starts a NEW sentence: 「安いです。でも、おいしくないです。」
- が is more polite and formal than けど (casual).
