How to use it
A complete negation emphasizing "not even a little". The second clause MUST be negative.
- 「少しも~ない」 = not at all. This is a fixed pair: if 「少しも」 is present, the end of the sentence must be negative.
- In the same group as 「ちっとも~ない」 (colloquial), 「全然~ない」 (the most common), 「まったく~ない」 (strong, somewhat formal).
- Different from 「少し~ない」 (not a fixed expression): it is precisely the 「も」 that creates the nuance "not even a little".
Examples

He doesn't look the least bit sad.
説明を聞いたが、少しも分からなかった。

Keep in mind
- The following clause must be negative.
- Do not drop 「も」.
Common mistakes
